Make sure you can trust the person you are dealing with, as a firm is little more than a collection of individuals working well together. There is no firm abstracted away from the individuals that make up the firm. If you trust "The Firm" you are betting on a mirage. If you do not trust the person you are dealing with, even if "The Firm" has a nice name, you are better off finding someone else … that you do trust.
